How ConDex handles your data
Last updated: April 2026
ConDex does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal data. Everything you put into the app stays on your device or in your own private iCloud account. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no developer-controlled servers. The developer cannot see, access, or retrieve any of your data.
All ConDex data — contacts, character avatars, photos, groups, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, this data is automatically synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Your data lives in your private iCloud container and is accessible only to you.
ConDex requests access to your device's contacts so it can import them into the app. This permission is required for the core functionality of ConDex. Imported contact data is stored locally and synced through your personal iCloud account. It is never sent to the developer or any third party. You can revoke contacts permission at any time in Settings → ConDex → Contacts.
ConDex requests "When In Use" location access at approximate (city-level) accuracy for one purpose: to display current weather information in the contact detail header via Apple's WeatherKit service. Your location is never stored, logged, or transmitted to any server controlled by the developer. If you deny location access, the weather display simply hides — the rest of the app works normally.
When you choose a photo for a contact, ConDex uses Apple's system photo picker. The picker runs outside of ConDex, so the app only ever receives the single image you select — it never has access to your full photo library. Selected photos are stored locally and in your iCloud account.
If you enable notifications, ConDex schedules local birthday reminders on your device. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to any external server, and no push notifications are sent from the developer.
ConDex makes use of the following Apple first-party services as part of normal app operation:
These services are operated by Apple and governed by Apple's own privacy practices, which you can review at apple.com/privacy.
ConDex contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking frameworks, no advertising networks, and no third-party data collection of any kind. The developer does not know how often you use the app, which features you use, or anything else about your usage.
ConDex does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app collects no data at all, this applies equally to users of every age.
If this privacy policy is ever updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the changes.
